NBYC Lightning Champion

THE F.F. Phillip's Trophy

The Phillips's Trophy was the gift of Chauncey and Chara Phillips and was awarded to the winner of the Lightning Class when the BBYRA was sailed at NBYC.

The trophy was first awarded in 1957 and was continued until 1999, when it went into semi retirement, because the Lightning fleet no longer competes at NBYC on BBYRA Day.

Many of the most outstanding Bay Lightning sailors have been winners of the Phillips Trophy.
