Normandy Beach Yacht Club Open Sanderling Regatta Race Winner

Commodore's Cup

The Commodore's Cup is awarded annually to the winner of the Normandy Beach Yacht Club's Sanderling Regatta, which is held on the BBYRA off Saturday between the first and second halves of the BBYRA racing season.

The NBYC Sanderling Regatta was the brainchild of Fred Collani, Commodore of the club in 1978 and an avid Sanderling sailor and competitor in the BBYRA.

Initially, the race was only for NBYC Sanderling skippers, but very quickly was opened to all Sanderling sailors on the Bay. Over the past 30 years, some of the top Bay Sanderling skippers have been winners of the Commodore's Cup.
